Resistance swimming is a training concept widely used at elite levels to improve performance. It‘s very efficient and only 10 minutes of training can improve body position and swim specific strength.
The athlete swims against an elastic cable attached around their waist and to the side of the pool. Breast stroke, crawl, backstroke or butterfly. Resistance swimming can be done with all stroke styles.
